Escrow Services is a business unit within the Treasury Services division of J.P. Morgan's Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB). Escrow holds institutional client assets in safekeeping and delivers those assets once certain pre-agreed conditions have been fulfilled. Escrow is used to mitigate risk in institutional transactions, most commonly for mergers and acquisitions, financing and litigation settlements.

This position reports to the APAC Escrow Product Head in Hong Kong.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the execution of the strategy in the APAC region through tracking of P&L, forecasting and associated reporting and metrics of financial performance and key client relationships.
  • Deliver product capabilities, assist with implementation new systems and address any processes to improve client experience issues.
  • Assist with the APAC marketing strategy by developing marketing documents, materials and events.
  • Work collaboratively with various escrow business partners including Sales, Middle Office, Operations, Compliance, Legal, GFCC and Risk to ensure product initiatives are clearly articulated with internal partners.
  • Embrace an end-to-end focus on controls as a part of business strategy. Appropriately raise any risk/control issues and where required take responsibility for resolving issues in timely manner.
  • Assist with the Escrow pricing process (both deposit and fee based) within the APAC region to ensure the business is taking on incrementally profitable new business.
  • Provide input into key procedures, product description documents and oversight of inter-affiliate services agreements.
  • Where appropriate discuss escrow solutions with clients and assist with training and teach-in for internal stakeholders to understand Escrow product solutions.
  • Where required liaise with Treasury and Liquidity partners in relation to deposits and balance sheet.
  • Understand and analyze industry trends for Escrow services including risk and regulatory developments and competitive landscape
  • Set a first-class standard of performance and integrity, and expect a first-class standard from the team.

  • Banking knowledge, including knowledge of the TS and escrow businesses
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, including Excel and financial analysis abilities

  • Ability to communicate across wide spectrum of people and functions.
  • Proven project management experience including project plan creation & management, issue/ risk identification & resolution, senior level reporting and communication
Qualifications :
  • 3+ years' experience, ideally in product management in financial services
  • Strong financial, analytical and strategic skill set
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Chinese language capability is desirable
