Junior Legal Counsel

Our client, a reputable insurance company is now looking for a junior legal counsel to join the team to handle a broad range of corporate matters, identifying legal issues and provide legal solutions. This position reports to the Head of Legal and Compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the review and drafting of agreements/documents, sales and marketing materials, insurance policy contracts and endorsements
• Give legal advice on complaint cases or enquiry from regulators
• Organize the company's legal special training;
• Regularly report the company's work on anti-money laundering and related transaction management to the regulatory authorities and the group company;
• Assist in the provision of practical solutions to matters that may arise from day-to-day operations
• Perform legal research and assist in the provision of regulatory updates
• Assist in the maintenance and enhancement of good corporate governance structure

Job Requirements:

• Qualified lawyer with at least 1-year in-house work experience
• Familiar with asset management business process and relevant laws and regulations
• Experience negotiating and drafting general commercial and contracts
• Problem solver and lateral thinker
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
• Operates well in a team environment with the ability to deliver quality work independently and in collaboration with other team members
• Strong judgment and attention to detail, highly organised
• Fluent in Mandarin and English
