Responsibilities
Responsible for all legal issues relating to establishment and ongoing maintenance of overseas hedge funds.
Negotiate and complete funds documents, and agreements with various fund service providers.
Prepare materials to the funds’ and firm entities’ board of directors.
Provide legal advice for the firm and group companies.
Be the contact person and maintain relationships with outside counsel.
Monitor and research legal and regulatory developments in relevant jurisdictions and analyze implications on compliance.
Assist with compliance matters and the establishment of legal and compliance framework to support the group’s sustainable development.
Requirements
Post-graduate degree from an accredited university, JD or LLM preferred
Qualified lawyer under the common law system with 5-10 years of PQE experience in asset management business at an international law firm and/or asset management house
Exposure to and knowledge of other jurisdictions, including US, EU, Cayman Islands and/or Chinese laws and regulations a definite asset
Fluency in English and Mandarin (speaking and written)
