Position Description

The position is responsible for leading a team of professionals located in several countries across Asia Pacific that provide end to end design, build and operational support of all market data services for the Global Banking and Markets business at Bank of America.

This critical and high profile role requires a range of soft and hard skills and unique experience and expertise to ensure the delivery of reliable, timely and cost effective market data products, solutions and services that enable our business lines and their electronic trading systems to make informed and competitive decisions. The role requires the ability to work well under pressure and the successful candidate will have experience working in a demanding and high-pressure support environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Acts as point person for all regional initiatives
  • Promotes and provides visibility of market data products and services across the region
  • Interacts with clients and management to translate regional requirements to deliver solutions in line with global standards
  • Serves as the escalation point for business and technology management for major incidents
  • Responsible for the regional technology solutions and support
  • Collaborates with functional team to ensure global consistency.
  • Drives an environment where service delivery management is a key priority
  • Ensures the highest availability of market data products and services on a daily basis

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience,
  • Must have 10-15 years of experience with Market Data products/systems
  • Prior management experience working global teams preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with technology and business focused groups
  • The successful candidate will require a range of core technical engineering and support skills and an end-to-end understanding of how services are delivered to several demanding lines of business.
  • Technical skills should include strength in several of the following area:
  • UNIX / Linux OS, shell scripts.
  • Market Data system interfaces.
  • Reuters RDF, P2PS, DACS, RFA
  • Wombat
  • Distributed Networks/Routers/Firewalls and FIX network provider
  • ITRS Geneos Enterprise Systems Monitoring
  • Ensure adequate thresholds and tolerances are used for triggering alerts and warning messages
  • Middleware - Tibco EMS, RV and MQ
  • Maintain RV and RVRD sessions
  • Working knowledge in one or more of the following programming languages would be an advantage: Pearl, C Shell, Java, C#, C++, XML or TCL
