We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Solution Architect.

Principal responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Wealth engineering teams, as in pods, on solution architecture aspects of Wealth projects, including, but not limited to, Strategic Financial Planning, SFP, Wealth Dashboard, WD, Relationship Manager Platform, RMP, Strategic Retail Broking Platform, SRBP, and Market Data Services, MDS.
  • Design, evaluate and recommend technical solutions that align with Wealth architecture roadmap;
  • Ensure that the project adheres to various HSBC standards and processes, for example Design Driven Decision, DDD, and Agile Control Framework, ACF
  • Prepare architectural documentation and various architecture artefacts, including, but not limited to, architecture diagrams, EIM data maintenance, REST API repository, microservices, data modelling



  • Be familiar, or preferably still hands on, with Java, Spring, Mule or MuleSoft, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, object oriented analysis and design, Oracle RDBMS, NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB, Jenkins, Visual Paradigm, Visio, JavaScript frameworks such as React and AngularJS, AWS, Google, DevOps, and Agile
  • Be a university or college graduate or equivalent in the field of IT or related disciplines with proven years of working experience in systems analysis, design or development with sufficient experience playing an architect role
  • Have experience in large scale Java based software development projects and be familiar with modern software development life cycle and tools
  • Have proven track records in designing IT systems in large scale financial or banking organizations preferably with experience in wealth management or investment applications
  • Have strong communications skills, both written and verbal, in English and preferably Cantonese
  • Be able to effectively interact with different groups of stakeholders within a project.
