Business System Analyst for insurance

Form a bridge between the Business Analysts and Solution Architects to drive the delivery of internal projects on the business side in IT

Roles/Responsibilities

  • Extract and document solution requirements that meet business requirements in the various divisions
  • Assist in technical design, development and implementation of business applications
  • Create test cases and run tests to find errors and revise programs, keeping users in mind
  • Support systems' integration testing and user acceptance testing
  • Review existing user guides, reference manuals, and training materials to keep them up-to-date, and train junior Business Analysts where needed

Required skills
  • Experience managing IT projects with a budget of up to USD 5 million
  • Foster complex multi-organizational internal and external relationships
  • Industry experience of life insurance within the business operations or system development areas
  • Have a good grasp of laws and regulations relevant to life insurance sales
  • 3+ years of programming in analysis, design, implementation and support of Java based applications
  • Strong understanding of Linux, Spring XD, Web Services, jQuery, and JavaScript based libraries

Preferred skills
  • Strong negotiation skills, both with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience implementing IT using proven methodologies
  • Experience building relationships and partnerships with IT vendor partners
