We are expanding our Team and looking for an experienced Sales Manager specialised in solution selling.

The Sales Manager will sell to both the large installed customer base in the region and also to exploit the opportunity to acquire new customers in emerging markets, he/she will sell Prophet software solutions and a range of Professional Services associated with Prophet. This is a quota carrying sales role.


What you will be doing:

  • Responsible for activities involved in selling products and/or services, developing new accounts and/or expanding existing accounts.

  • Responsible for driving sales in Japan

  • Responsible for building an active sales pipeline for the allocated markets

  • Participates in establishing financial goals, objectives and measurements to meet growth targets.

  • Develops sales plans, goals, strategies and objectives to achieve team goals and revenue objectives.

  • Identifies critical market segments through market research and competitor analyses and recommends sales strategies for improvement.

  • Implements and executes sales policies and practices.

  • Oversees trade show participation and participates in planning of sales meetings.

  • Participates in building, packaging and price setting with members of management to meet market needs.

  • Monitors client survey results to ensure positive client relationships and satisfaction and responds to any negative criticism.

  • Ensures development and maintenance of long-term relationships with client base.


What you bring:

  • The ability to sell, concepts and solutions at senior level.

  • Minimum 6 years of sales experience with at least 3 years serving in the insurance industry and have worked in an enterprise IT vendor environment especially in Japan region, having some actuarial experience and relationships in the region, and selling insurance application software as a hunter sales will be preferred.

  • Experience of working in a team selling environment and in/with virtual teams.

  • Experience of working with partner organizations

  • An understanding of the business issues of the life and non-life insurance industry

  • An understanding of actuarial based Risk Management solutions
