Manager, Segment, Revenue & Channel Insights

HLB is embarking on a comprehensive multi-year regional BIG DATA and Analytics transformational journey encompassing products, channels and services across the different markets. We are looking for people to join Segment, Revenue and Channel Insight team. The Analytics team works very closely with the Segment, Digital and Finance Teams and is responsible for coming up with analytics insights and solutions to grow the portfolio profitably and increase the market share. It is involved through key phases of the entire cycle from acquisition to cross-sell and retention. The candidate will also be heavily involved in Hong Leong's omni-channel strategies aspiration in order to provide superior customer journey and increase efficiency of self-service terminals

Functional ( job responsibilities )
• Provide analytical leadership to the team to identify sales growth opportunities and develop strategies towards profitability.
• Perform advanced analytics to support the teams across acquisition and portfolio management.
• Develop and identify effective portfolio actions based on customers' revenue, profitability, transactional behavior and engagement with bank.
• Coordinate key initiatives and manage business relationships with key business partners in Product, Channel, Operations and Finance.
• Participate in the development and application of scorecards, pricing elasticity models, propensity models, CHAID analysis, Adobe analytics, cluster and regression statistical tools on different initiatives; including self-learning and responsive algorithms (machine learning).
• Manage the team to ensure management dashboards and MIS requirements are performed and delivered on time.
• Manage Operational Campaigns including preparation of leads, champion-challenger pilots, tracking campaign response and post mortem on campaign
• Train team members as needed on analytic processes, tools and problem solving.

Managerial ( team/group responsibilities )
• Manage a team of analysts to perform analyses, tracking and campaigns
• Strategize and drive initiatives as the analytic partner to the businesses
• Implement process improvements for productivity and timeliness

Organizational ( organizational responsibilities )
• Work as a team with all stakeholders

Education/Qualification
• Strong quantitative skills required including academic background in mathematics, statistics, business management, economics, engineering or other similar discipline.
• Knowledge and previous experience with statistical modeling such as decision tree tools like CHAID or Logistic Regression.
• Knowledge of working with SAS, SQL, R, Python or other programming languages is desirable.
• Good interpersonal and communication skill

Experience
• Minimum 8-10 years' experience in Business Analytics team preferably in a
Global or Regional Bank, or in an FMCG / Retail environment
• Ability to articulate analyses and findings in a crisp and concise manner both verbally and through written presentations/communications.
• Prior experience in managing a small or medium sized team of analysts is preferred.
• Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize work-streams effective

Special Skills
• Coding skills in SQL or SAS; or in other BI and statistical programs
