Within HSBC Technology and Services, Global Change Delivery focuses on delivering exceptional project and programme management services to the business and enabling function, playing a critical role in aligning the Bank's change portfolio to reflect business priorities, investment parameters and resource capabilities. The division is instrumental in driving change improvements in customer experience and unit costs through automation, standardisation and optimisation of HSBC's operating model covering people, processes, products and channels.

W e are currently seeking an experienced professional to take on the role Senior Programme Manager and Head of Resource Practice ( GCB 4) .


Principal Responsibilities

  • The incumbent is expected to lead , manage, plan, mobilize and direct large scale change programmes and business transformation of varying complexity from inception to closure ;
  • The individual will lead and manage a large pool of Change Teams , hence responsible for people management and development, performance management, resource management, professional development and help create a resourcing community to achieve the goals of the department ;
  • The role holder has end to end responsibility for all aspects of the programme, defining and planning the programme, managing mobilisation, controlling execution and managing implementation, change and benefits realization;
  • The incumbent is also expected to independently drive the country led strategic programs;
  • P r oactively determine, analyses and identify performance metrics and measurements and dictates improvement plans to track and drive on time delivery and adherence to budget;
  • P r ovides timely reports on programme status, risks and issues, evaluating programme performance based on management information;
  • O btains sponsor and stakeholder sign-off for deliverables, formally close programme, assess stakeholder satisfaction and capture feedback;
  • Pl a ns and manages the implementation of the change, to ensure business benefits are realised and that the transition from current state to target state is smooth;
  • Manage changes where the incumbent will be expected to challenge and intervene where there is scope creep, budget overrun, plan slippage and benefits;


Qualifications
Requirements
• Master's degree (e.g. MBA) in related field or commensurate practical experience;
  • P r oven experience managing large teams with diverse professional skills in a change environment ;
  • A bility to work with senior stakeholders and business sponsors and make strategic decisions;
  • Demonstration of commerciality with strong financial acumen;
  • Excellent understanding of Business Transformation Frameworks, methodologies and best practice techniques;
  • S trong knowledge of the external environment - regulatory, political, competitors;
  • Demonstrated ability to create and drive large-scale programmatic change in large organization's;
  • A bility to develop cohesive working relationships with business partners;
  • P r oven implementation, change management and benefits realisation experience ;
  • To adhere to the Financial Crime Risk's policies and FIMs. This includes Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter Terrorist Financing & Sanctions and Anti-Bribery and Corruption.
