Our M&A Transaction Services team provides transaction support services for buyers and sellers ranging from small and medium-sized, owner-managed businesses to large multinational corporations in their evaluation of a potential deal.

What you can expect from this role

  • You will be working with Swiss companies, global corporations and private equity clients active in the field of financial services and related technology
  • Deloitte professionals often get to be a part of the most challenging and interesting transactions in the market
  • You will provide support to the clients through analysing and assessing information to help them make decisions and realize the added value of their M&A transactions. You will have the opportunity of getting commercial insights into various companies and industries, working closely with clients and refining their financial analysis skills
  • You will assist our clients on preparing business for sale, including preparation of deliverables in various forms including Excel data books, written reports and presentations
  • You will lead and support due diligence and transaction projects across Switzerland’s financial service industry including sub-sectors such as insurance, banking, wealth management, Fintech for both strategic investors and private equity firms
  • You would act as a role model and support the development of junior team members as well as contribution to the development of our Transaction Services practice
  • You will work together with our well-established consultancy practice and work in international teams with professional and like-minded colleagues.

Your qualifications

  • You have a degree from a university or technical college (bachelors/master’s degree in Finance, Banking, Accounting and/or other related fields)
  • A relevant additional professional qualification or the efforts to obtain one will be a plus
  • A minimum of 4 years of work experience in a relevant area, with focus on the FIG/FSI industry
  • Thorough understanding of accounting and financial statements layout for banking and/or insurance companies with knowledge in FIG/FSI regulation an added bonus
  • Prior due diligence experience is of great advantage
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and interpersonal skills
  • An open and curious person that can cope well in a fast-paced and challenging environment
  • Passion about building customer relationships
  • Fluent in German and English. Any further languages would be an advantage
  • Willingness to travel.
