Business Analyst

The purpose of the role is to provide Business Analysis/ MX configuration services within a major, multi-year, transformational program, delivering a new single end-to-end STP platform for the FX and ALM businesses globally.

The key goals of the program are:
i. Optimised Front to back workflow, with high automation and STP
ii. Global standardisation of booking models and processes (Target Operating Model)
iii. Design-in T0 controls and exception management.
iv. Golden sources of static and reference data.
v. Integration with multiple up and downstream applications.
vi. Deployment in 38 global locations.

The BA/ Engineer is expected to:
i. Build strong, effective relationships with senior levels in the business, the vendor and technology Stakeholders across FX.
ii. Be motivated to follow agile methodologies and deliver functionalities incrementally in sprint cycles
iv. Gather, analyse, document business requirements; questioning, challenging and proposing innovative, automated solutions where necessary.
v. Configure/ Develop high quality solutions
vi. Work with the business and vendor to define and implement the target operating model.
vii. Be a delivery orientated person, ensuring projects timelines are met, whilst ensuring business priorities are delivered.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The key responsibilities are outlined below:
i. Gain an in-depth knowledge of current business processes, inefficiencies, improvement opportunities, issues and risks.
ii. Clearly document detailed, unambiguous global business requirements, workflows and use cases.
iii. Provide Murex expertise on domains primarily Front Office FX (e.g. trade booking, pricing, pre-trade, risk management, etc.).
iv. Run and/or be an active member of the design workshops, discussions and working groups, incorporating requirements and re-engineering processes towards full automation and STP.
v. Define all necessary static data sources, data required and clean ups.
vi. Ensure stakeholders are fully engaged, communications are regular and honest and expectations are well managed.
vii. Work proactively with your fellow BA and SMEs, across geographies, ensuring work is proportionally distributed and that targets and project deadlines are met.
viii. Work closely with the Development team on integration requirements and mappings.
ix. Assist business SMEs with defining and executing test cases for vendor 'drops' of the global framework/operating models.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Pre-Requisite:
Functional and BA Skills
i. Murex 3.1 experience (FX Cash) focusing on:
o Simulation
o FDI, Etradepad
o Pre-trade workflows
o Market Data and Curve configurations
o Trade Life Cycle
o Any other modules would be helpful
ii. Strong FX product and front-to-back knowledge - or at least strong knowledge in another asset class (e.g. Interest Rates Derivatives, Credit, Commodities, etc.).
iii. Ability to accurately gather, document and present requirements, processes, booking models and functional designs to a high quality.
iv. Strong interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills.
v. Ability to work proactively, independently when necessary and displays strong initiative.
vi. Strong communication and presentation skills, with an excellent standard of English (written and spoken).
vii. Multi-cultural awareness.

Technical Skills
i. Understanding of software development lifecycle
ii. Database: Oracle / Sybase / SQL

Preferred:
i. Experience in large scale front to back, STP platform implementations.
ii. Experience in full project lifecycle phases, (concept, requirements, design, build, test, deliver).
