Position Description
Background: The Electronic Trading Technology (ETT) team supports the Electronic Trading business in the Global Markets and Investment Banking Group. The team provides innovative solutions for Low Touch Trading, which includes Client Connectivity, Low Latency Market Access, Execution Strategies, Algorithmic Trading, Workflow, Analytics and Internal Crossing.

The ETT team is a global team with a strong presence in every region (AMRS, EMEA and Asia Pac). We aim to maintain a global perspective while recognizing and responding to specific regional requirements that make each market unique.

Our Asia team is a diverse, dynamic and technically demanding team of around 60 developers. The team is responsible for the entire Electronic Trading product set in Pac Rim and also contributes to strategic global initiatives in the Electronic Trading space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Electronic Trading Order Management System / DMA and Algo Order Execution Workflow
  • Develop the Electronic Trading Order Management System for the DMA and DSA business
  • Enhance the OMS and Workflow to meet the growing business demands, included but not limited to market coverage, product coverage, new functionalities, risk control, and performance perspectives in the equity domain
  • Work with technology and business groups regionally and globally to deliver high quality solutions in a fast-paced environment with the agile methodology
  • The candidate needs to be a hands-on developer who can show initiative to deliver business value and contribute to design and architecture of the platform

Key Requirements
  • Strong core Java fundamentals, including multi-threading, garbage collection concepts and performance tuning
  • Good design sense, including knowledge of effective design approaches in equity domain
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodology, test driven development & continuous integration
  • Team Player, and efficient in working in a distributed team environment;
  • Experience in handling large and complex distributed systems;
  • Strong analytical skills required to design and solve technical problems;
  • Very good communication skills and ability to coordinate different tasks and work with different stakeholder groups;
  • Hands-on working knowledge of Unix/Linux;

Desired Skills
  • Electronic trading or equities business knowledge;
  • Experience in BDD;
  • Experience to work on agile type projects;
  • FIX protocol knowledge;
  • Experience in robot framework
  • Messaging middleware such as EMS / TIBRV;
  • Language exposure beyond Java, e.g. Python, C#, .NET.
  • User facing experience;
