We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as a SVP, Payment Services .

Principal responsibilities

  • Developing operational objectives and operating plans for Payment Operations.
  • Implementing business process optimisation methodologies such as Six Sigma, process reengineering, workflow management and others, that meet operational or business objectives.
  • Driving a culture of continuous process improvement, operational excellence and best practice across the department.
  • Balancing and managing resources and costs to deliver the most cost efficient service while maintaining high service standards.
  • Working closely with the business lines to ensure correct prioritisation of initiatives to maximise customer benefit.
  • Working closely with foreign counterparts to support business initiatives.
  • Developing excellent partnership with the business lines to ensure effective delivery of customer solutions.
  • Instituting appropriate operational reporting and management information of the department to ensure adequate operational control and application of resources.
  • Maintain and ensure due observance of HSBC Internal Control Standards, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal or external auditors and external regulators.
  • Foster a compliance culture and implement Group Compliance Policy by managing compliance risk in liaison with the Head of Group Compliance, Regional Compliance Officer, Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer, ensuring adequate compliance resources are in place and training is provided, and optimising relations with regulators.
  • Maintain awareness of operational risk including its identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting in accordance to internal group compliance policy.
  • Implement the Group Compliance policy locally by managing compliance risk in liaison with Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer.
  • Working closely with Head of Operations to map out career paths and identify corresponding training and learning needs.
  • Enhancing engagement and retention of high potentials through an emphasis on coaching, development and enrichment.
  • Providing processing solutions for business lines with maximum operational efficiency.
  • Providing value-added inputs into process improvement or outsourcing proposals, supporting the change initiatives.


Qualifications

Requirements

  • ​Degree holder
  • Familiar with Banking Services, Operations Management and Management Information System
  • Possesses Strong analytical skills, interpersonal skills and personnel Management,
  • Experience in change management, strategic planning and execution, and re-engineering.
  • Experience in managing a team and foreign counterparts
