Position Description
Background: Experienced ITIL Major Incident Manager / Incident Recovery Manager within the Global Banking and Market Technology (GBAM) line of business.

Incident Recovery Manager will be responsible for the hands on execution of ITIL aligned Incident Management processes as a part of a specialist Command and Control team, based in Singapore or Hong Kong but with day to day interaction with globally dispersed colleagues. The successful candidate must be able to work with multiple technical groups and business units and must have strong operational experience in major incident management. The candidate will need to be an experienced ITIL practitioner and previous experience of complex payments systems would be a distinct advantage. The role entails exposure to senior business management and as such superb communications and stakeholder management skills are a pre-requisite.

Remit is a global function, delivering a 24*7 incident services for 650+ applications, using a follow the sun operations approach. APAC based resources are critical to allow this to operate seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execution and coordination of ITIL aligned Incident Management processes
  • Comprehend, communicate and lead the recovery of business disrupting technology incidents
  • Track, oversee and report on the daily management of significant incidents
  • Interface and liaise between Application Production Support and Business/Operations support
  • Communicate incident status and impact with senior executive business and technology stakeholders
  • Support various ad hoc and scheduled reporting requirements

Key Requirements
  • Experience of performing Major Incident Management role
  • ITIL Certification
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written; must be able to appropriately convey ideas, concerns and opinions across differing levels of management
  • Must be proactive, enthusiastic, flexible and results driven with attention to detail
  • A team player who must be able to work under pressure, juggle multiple priorities, using initiative to meet deadlines without close supervision
  • A disciplined thinker and capable of working across organizational boundaries in a very demanding, high-output environment
