We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Vice President, Payment Operations.

Principal responsibilities

  • Manage the offshore team delivering Payment Operations support. Ensure payments are processed within agreed goals and ensure delivery of operational excellence and quality standards.
  • Put in place a sustainable governance structure is in place to track performance and delivery of services.
  • Drive continuous productivity improvements into the Payment Operations processes by participating as a key stakeholders in the delivery of new process and technology.
  • Work closely with business and product partners across the bank to continuously identify improvement opportunities
  • Understand, follow and demonstrate compliance with internal and external procedures and regulations that apply to Payment Operations.
  • Maintain HSBC Internal Control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points.



  • ​Strong experience in the finance industry, particularly in the Payments environment with field knowledge relating to Payment Operations and Technology such as Telegraphic Transfers, MEPS, GIRO and FAST
  • Experience in risk management with a proven ability to apply risk management disciplines and controls relations to Payments Operations.
  • Proactive with proven ability to priorities and manage conflicting demands, showing resilience under pressure while continuing to provide best in class solutions.
  • Ability to build relationships by communicating, influencing and negotiating effectively with senior management, team heads, technical experts and product partners across the bank.
  • Good knowledge of regulatory requirements, trends and developments across the Payments landscape in Singapore.
  • Track record of strong leadership and management ability.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to build and maintain local, regional and global relationships.
