The web application architect is a key contributor to the project, he or she's in charge of the overall technical design and is the warrants of the scalability, robustness, security and maintainability of solutions.

Role and responsibilites:

  • Analyse customer requirements 
  • Design web applications
  • Experience of software design techniques and principles and with ability to estimate effort required to meet design specifications
  • Choose adequate stacks and frameworks for the web application with regards to functional and technical requirements
  • Produce and maintain design documentation and other software documentations, to ensure the applications are supportable, maintainable and trainable for end-users.
  • Work with various stakeholders to justify the design
  • Provide technical support and training to the team
  • Manage the team
  • Ensure all work adheres to the group engineering methodologies and processes



  • 5+ years of relevant experience building Front End and Back End of Web Applications
  • Knowledge of architecture and design patterns and the ability to apply them
  • Experience in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
  • Knowledge of micro-services and web components is a plus
  • Experience in large-scale, enterprise level environment servicing multiple customers as well as with multi-tier software design and development
  • Experience in scrum/agile software development methodologies
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Hands-on experience with the following:
    • modern web application and development platforms: Angular JS, JQuery,
    • Node.JS, Javascript, HTML5,CSS, RxJS, Angular Material, Material Design Icons and TypeScript
    • RESTful APIs
  • Experience with tools: JIRA, Git, GitExtension, Webstorm, Visual Studio code
  • Experience with continuous integration (e.g. Jenkins, Circle CI) and code management repository tools like GITHUB
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
