Graduate Talent Program 2023, Client Self Service Developer

Your role
Do you want to design and build next generation business applications using the latest technologies? Do you believe in collaboration between business- and technical experts to achieve best results? Do you like to be challenged and encouraged to learn and grow professionally?

We're looking for someone like that to:
• develop solutions for our clients so they can self-service our banking offerings and strengthen our position as digital leaders in financial services
• design, plan and deliver sustainable solutions using modern programming languages in a cross-functional scrum team
• find creative ways to create maximum business value within shortest time-to-market
• identify ways to continuously improve and become more effective as a team

Graduate Talent Program
Our Graduate Talent Program (GTP) lasts 18 months. You'll be directly involved in day-to-day operations, working with professionals and gaining first-hand experience of our business.

As well as on-the-job learning, you'll get training on the financial markets, our products and other core business topics. Rotational assignments are a key part of the program. By taking on other roles in related departments, you'll gain a wider perspective.

Besides all that, you'll attend networking events, cross-business classes and social occasions where you'll get to know us.

You will join the crew Client Self Service where we work according to Agile@UBS, this represents the new way of working at UBS with the aim to quickly develop innovative solutions and to digitize key client products end to end. In this crew you will be working in one of our 10 pods running Scrum focused on building digital self-service solutions for existing and prospective clients. Our pods have a proven track record of being first to market and having direct client impact by evolving our solutions accessed by thousands of users every day. Furthermore, while you are working on creating the world's best banking platform you get the chance to join broaden your skills by joining various trainings according to your personal interest, sessions on innovation topics, social events and much more.

Your expertise
You need have completed your bachelor's or master's degree.

In particular, you have:
• an interest in working in a fast-paced international environment as part of a scrum team
• good communication skills, comfortable interacting with colleagues at all levels
• a flexible, open-minded and cooperative personality (you're a people person)
• a passion to learn about modern software development techniques
• experience building web applications using Java, Spring, and REST API.
• excellent English (written and oral)
