Job Title: Technology Risk Manager (End User Computing - EUC)

Location: Birmingham

Corporate Title: Assistant Vice President

EUC has technology towers of Desktop, Mobility, Print, Email, Real Time Communication, Identity and Authentication and Customer Services User Experience. You will partner closely with these Technology Towers and liaise with other risk and control functions, to ensure the oversight and management of risk initiative`s and projects. The role will give you an excellent opportunity to further develop your Technology and Vendor Risk Management skills in a critical area of the Bank.

Your key responsibilities

  • Partner with EUC Technology Towers to manage the Risk & Control activities for the tower. The activities cover multiple risk areas incl. assessing and managing the risk log, remediation of risks, face off to audits, regulatory requests, governing technology risk metrics (incl Information Security), Security alerts, Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity Management and vendor risk metrics

  • Partner with EUC Technology Towers and Non Financial Risk Management / Risk Type Controllers to coordinate the vendor risk & control assessments and ongoing activities. The activities cover multiple risk areas that are assessed as part of a vendor engagement

  • Present to various Regional / Country outsourcing committees as required, based on Country Compliance regulations for vendors. Ensure completion of requirements for vendor outsourcing as required by local country compliance regulations based on guidance provided by Compliance

  • Assess technology risk in various situations based on inputs provided by the Small or medium-sized Enterprises Evaluate evidence for closure of risk items in line with company policies

  • Presenting the Risk / Vendor Risk packs and providing updates to the Technology Tower Leads. The key objective here is to provide regular management updates with regards to the progress and challenges being faced regarding risk management activities

  • Managing regulatory responses for specific Technology towers. Numerous regulators and counterparties assess the Bank's Information Technology security set up and the responses need to be provided in coordination with the Technology Tower areas appropriately and in a timely way

  • Lead and support Risk Remediation project(s) as part of the Overall EUC Risk Programme. Face off to internal risk functions related to various risk initiatives and programmes

Your skills and experience

  • Experience of working in a Risk Function or Vendor Risk in a Technology Department.

  • The ability to effectively work with business users, developers and other technology colleagues outside of your direct team, across a broad range of business functions and at all levels of the organisation

  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office Applications

  • The ability to multi task, prioritise work and adapt during sometimes pressured situations.

  • Preferred: Knowledge of Risk tools i.e. GFMS, SR / Ariba, NAR, Clarity, Waltz

  • Preferred: Experience of working on coordinating activity related to Technology questionnaires received from regulators.

  • Preferred: Experience of operating within an organisation's Finding Management Policy and Third Party Management Key Operating Document
