We are currently looking to hire a Head of FP&A to join our existing finance function on a permanent basis. The purpose of the position is the prepare, develop and analyse key management accounting information to ensure that the Bank makes well-informed decisions to ensure future stability, growth and profitability. The position will primarily be based from our Brentwood office however we can offer flexibility for the right candidate.

We are currently looking to hire a Head of FP&A to join our existing finance function on a permanent basis. The purpose of the position is the prepare, develop and analyse key management accounting information to ensure that the Bank makes well-informed decisions to ensure future stability, growth and profitability. The position will primarily be based from our Brentwood office however we can offer flexibility for the right candidate. This role is a high profile position within the Bank, reporting directly to the CFO and managing a team of experienced FP&A professionals.

Key responsibilities of the position include the following:

  • Continually improving budgeting and forecasting processes to create accurate and dynamic business forecasts.
  • Ensure timely and accurate production of management accounting commentary.
  • Providing ongoing cost review & challenge.
  • Ensuring Funds Transfer Pricing is applied correctly and accurately across all portfolios.
  • Maintenance and development of pricing models.
  • Providing financial support to various business areas across the bank.
  • Maintenance and development of key financial models.

Suitable candidates will have the following experience:

  • Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • Significant financial services experience, ideally bank or lending exposure.
  • Demonstrable analytical skills with strong commercial acumen.
  • Excellent understanding of key elements of the treatment of loan income amortisation techniques would be highly advantageous.
  • First-hand experience of planning, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Sound business judgement and strong influencing skills combined with excellent customer focus.
