We are looking for a Desktop Infrastructure Engineer to work with us on service improvement and issue resolution, providing support for incidents and technical assistance for DWP users across the organisation.

Delivery. Work. Projects.

As a Desktop Infrastructure Engineer, you'll be working on the operational implementation of technology innovations and solutions for our service, as well as working towards a strategic roadmap of technology improvements, including cloud integrations, that will support our teams across the 11,000 DWP user landscape.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?

  • Knowledge of Windows Server, IIS, Windows Print Spooler and Queue Management.
  • Windows PowerShell knowledge.
  • Basic SQL skills (executing SQL scripts and liaising with DBA team).
  • Experience providing and operating desktop services including office products, virtualised technologies and distribution toolsets. This role required large scale product delivery across multiple product providers.
