Our financial services client are looking for Data Engineers/Analysts to help them implement a transaction monitoring system within their fin-crime and fraud data department. This system will be used to alert consumers when irregular activity of transactions are made to detect fraud and financial crime activity. They need the Analysts to come in to work with the tech stakeholders to clarify requirements, document and understand where the data is gathered currently, and map how it is going to get from A to B . They need people who come from a proper data background, who know data warehousing, Teradata, SQL, python, SAS, (or similar database technologies) a mix of the above as they will also need to write code. In future they will move to cloud, but the immediate demand is to make sure that the alerting and detection system is up and running next year within the current data warehouse platform.
They need technical analyst/data analyst/Engineers - with data experience with the above skills as they'll be handling lots of data, mapping and analysing it, writing code (SQL/Teradata/SAS/Python) as well as interacting and working with other stakeholders to gather and document req's and creating the tech specs - so its both an Analyst and a Data Engineer. They do not need everyone with all of the above but at least half. Fin crime/Fraud experience is preferred, but they must at least have financial services experience.
This is fully remote and will extend well into next year.
