 Responsibility for all aspects of the accounts receivable process and a key member of the financial accounting team

Essential Functions

Major duties and responsibilities of the job

Strategic

  • Develop the team in liaison with senior management to ensure that all activities are completed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Provide ongoing support and training to more junior members of staff across the Finance division
  • Main point of contact in CLS Group for all queries in relation to Accounts Receivable

Operational

  • Responsibility for all aspects of the CLS groups accounts receivable process
    • Calculating invoices
    • Collecting revenue
    • Point of contact for all accounts receivable queries
    • Liaise with internal and external auditors
  • Preparation and filing of regulatory and tax reports
    • UK and Swiss VAT returns
    • National Statistics Reporting
  • Responsibility for intercompany transactions
    • Prepare intercompany invoices
    • Prepare transfer pricing information and backup
  • Perform analysis on and cost accounting for contractor costs
  • Perform cost analysis, assist stakeholders with their queries and analyses variances between the actual spend and forecast
  • Perform risk and control work in conjunction with Operational Risk Management (ORM), review monthly controls to ensure KPI’s are being met
  • Post payroll journals for UK, US, Tokyo and HK legal entities, liaising with HR to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and working papers for all CLS entities
  • Prepare and review accruals and prepayments

Leadership

  • Contributes to the wider CLS leadership and culture agenda
  • Develop the team in liaison with senior management to ensure that all internal reports are produced in a timely and accurate manner
  • Provide ongoing support and training to more junior members of staff across the Finance group

Essential

Experience, education and any certifications as necessary for successful job performance

  • Qualified accountant
  • Accustomed to dealing with routine and complex accounting and reporting issues

  • Highly numeric with strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Able to meet deadlines with a strong attention to detail
  • Sound commercial judgement.

  • Comfortable with general ledger systems, particularly SAP environments
  • Very good knowledge of controls and processes.
