Our teams collaborate to assist Morgan Stanley clients with investment decisions, using cash and derivative instruments across major asset classes and geographies.
The Global FXEM Strategy team is seeking a CEEMEA local markets strategist specialising particularly in rates to join the team in London to focus on emerging markets. The team covers EM sovereign fixed income markets globally. This is an exciting opportunity to develop skills related to fixed income and market analysis. You will be able to take part in all aspects of the research production – from idea generation, data analysis, report writing and then promoting to clients. The role will also involve maintenance and development of the various analytical tools and models produced by the team for clients. As a strategist you can expect to learn from and work with senior members of the team on specific projects, the results of which are published and sent out to clients.
You have a strong academic background with a degree in a business related field, or equivalent.
A strong interest in global macro is a critical pre-requisite for the role, including both Macroeconomics and Global Markets.
Previous product knowledge of CEEMEA interest rate and FX markets is essential.
Ability to work collaboratively as a team player and interact effectively with other research teams across the firm.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Statistical and quantitative skills with a background in Microsoft Excel or any statistical package.
Ability to demonstrate competence with numerical concepts and tools
