The Role:

To proactively work with and support sales managers in the European sales team.


  • Provide timely and appropriate support to assist sales managers in maintaining and developing key relationships
  • Assist with diary management and event management for Sales managers
  • Regularly communicate to relevant clients’ fund comments and updates
  • Send marketing literature to clients as required
  • Ensure updated sales aids are readily available for sales managers
  • Ensure that all material required for events are prepared in advance of sales managers requirements
  • Assist with follow ups to meetings / presentations
  • Demonstrate organized and effective phone skills on a consistent basis
  • Maintenance of CRM database
  • Ensure all client contact details correctly uploaded and assigned to CRM system
  • Link all sales manager activities on CRM database (meetings, calls, events etc)
  • Ensure fields are set up and maintained to capture essential data

 Internal – facing aspects of role:

  • Provide support to the sales team at road-shows, seminars and industry events.  Raise awareness of events, obtain commitment to attend, engage with clients at events and follow up post event with attendees to obtain feedback and comments
  • Proactively partner with internal departments such as Marketing, Investor Services, Fund Administration, Compliance & Legal departments to deliver effective service to clients, resolve client queries and ensure sales projects are delivered smoothly
  • Champion the reputation of the European Sales Team to ensure that they are a well-respected and stand-out team within Neptune
  • Responsible for accurate record keeping and the follow up of Legal Agreements, RFPs and presentation materials
  • Recognise and support compliance with regulatory and risk requirements by understanding obligations and impact on role e.g. TCF
  • Interface with investor services team regarding all administrative issues surrounding dedicated accounts
  • Ensure that deadlines are adhered to for client reporting and information dissemination to key account contacts

A successful candidate should feel comfortable having conversations with clients that increase the client’s knowledge and awareness of Neptune and Neptune products.

Requirements & Experience:


  • Experience of sales support / Client Relationship Management ideally within Asset Management or Financial Services industry
  • Knowledge of the European Asset Management industry
  • Fluent German
  • Salesforce experience
  • MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to prioritise time, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to interface credibly with individuals at all levels of seniority, both externally and internally
  • Strong client service mentality – understands what constitutes excellent client service
  • Enthused by building client relationships
  • Motivated self-starter with strong work ethic


  • Graduate 2:1 or above
  • IMC would be beneficial, but not essential
