My client is investing in the creation of in-house construction and housebuilding businesses to deliver its exciting program of refurbishment, conversion, and development of a range of its property assets. This role will be akin to joining a start-up business but with the financial strength of the parent company supporting its development. The finance manager will therefore be capable of acting on their own initiative to recommend and develop systems, processes, and procedures to ensure effective financial management and reporting in relation to these activities.
The business is a dynamic, can-do, ambitious organization and they are looking for someone that can reflect and embrace these characteristics. The Finance Manager will receive a lot of support from the wider finance team but will hold the majority of responsibility for the newly created business.
You will hold relationships with contractors, project managers, senior stakeholders and present findings back to the business. Be responsible for the overall accounting function, including month-end, cashflow forecasts, in-depth analysis, and technical reporting. This is a broad role where you will be able to develop at a tremendous rate.
Ideally, we are looking for a qualified accountant (or QBE), with experience within the construction sector
