Financial Analyst with real estate experience needed for a key role in the European asset management team of one of Asia’s largest diversified real estate groups. Based in London, this role works closely with investment, asset management and finance teams across Europe. The successful candidate will play an important part in the tracking of realised and future performance of the fund and in regularly conveying progress of the business plans, reporting to the European team and HQ in Singapore.

Joining one of Asia’s largest diversified real estate groups, headquartered and listed in Singapore, with assets world-wide, the Financial Analyst will play a key role within the European asset management team and will work closely with the investment, asset management and finance teams across Europe.  The company owns and manages a growing portfolio of commercial, retail business park, industrial, logistics, development lodging and residential assets and is one of the largest real estate investment management businesses in the world, managing REITs, business trusts and private funds.  In Europe, it owns office, business park hospitality and logistics assets and has ambitious acquisitions plans and a very active deals pipeline.

The successful candidate will play an important part in the tracking of realised and future performance of the fund and in regularly conveying progress of the business plans, reporting to the European team and HQ in Singapore.   He or she will join a busy, dynamic and diverse team and will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with encouragement to take initiative and work autonomously, taking ownership of the reporting and analysis on behalf of the European business.

The role sits within a small team and as such will have broad-ranging responsibilities and the opportunity to work closely with and learn from the senior members of the team.  It also has direct access to the decision-makers in Singapore, and enjoys  visibility within the broader business as a result.  The company has an excellent track record for learning and development in both the short and long term and was recently named as one of Forbes Magazine Asia's World's Best Employers 2020. 

Key Responsibilities

• Consolidation, review, and analysis of monthly asset management reports
• Support in the implementation of asset plans and strategies to maximize operations which includes
o Preparing budget, forecast and business plan for the assets
o Monitoring and analysing properties’ performance
o Reporting asset performance to the Board/ Management
• Being responsible for reporting on all aspects on the European assets, from managing monthly reporting to ad hoc data queries
• Managing the on boarding process of new data and asset management platforms
• Driving forward efficient process to pay and monitor of invoices
• Partner with various stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of reports
• Monitor and study market trends and its impact on asset performance
• Drive, review and analyse the merits of all leasing activities including renewal and make recommendations to Management
• Any other investment & asset management related works such as ad hoc corporate reporting, coordination on corporate initiatives etc

Qualification & Experience
• Degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Accounting or related discipline
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience
• Fluent spoken and written English

Attributes/ Competencies
• Familiar with real estate markets, valuation methodologies and asset management
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel application and MS Office Suite
• A self-starter who is proactive and able to work independently
• A solution driven individual who can prioritize workloads to meet multiple deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure and deliver on tight reporting deadlines
