Purpose of Role:

Data Centre Device installation & coordination, Change Control management for Installs, Hardware delivery, planning and Placement. Datacenter Project Coordination and support Role.

Major Responsibilities:

Role specifics



  • Manage and perform the installation of equipment,  processes and cabling  to ensure timely delivery of IT assets into the data centers and SER’s


  • Coordinate with multiple vendors, IT technology teams and providers in the delivery of equipment, physical installation, and successful deployment of the assets into operation.


  • Manage, create and maintain the development of installation processes, Standard Operating Procedures and Best Practices documentation


  • Ensure all installations meet State Street Standards and Best Practices


  • Assisting Data Center Manager, DC Engineering team members, technology teams and Facilities in developing accurate trending and consumption reports for space, power and cooling for assigned data centers.


  •  In conjunction with Data Center team members, assist in the development of the Global Data Center Strategy.


  • Assume daily responsibility for the input and maintenance of the Aperture tool.


  • Obtain relevant symbol and repository updates as required.


  • Interface with customer community to address all issues in a timely manner.


  • Assist DC Manager in all aspects of data center planning.

Level of Education / Qualifications:



  • Degree in IT or relevant Fields, HND or Professional DC Certifications

Skills and Experience:



  • 5 years’ experience in IT infrastructure, managing, building or supporting various server, storage and or networking technologies.


  • Good understanding of various equipment operating systems

Required Competencies:



  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timeframes


  • Work with minimal technical oversight, results orientated with good customer service skills


  • Ability to create technical documentation and workflow processes
