A well-regarded, active and expanding European boutique is hiring in London and favours a German speaker due to high business volume across the DACH region (as well as the UK and across other regions).

My client is a successful mid-market boutique investment bank with several offices across Europe. The team is sector agnostic but has a Technology and Consumer sector bias.

The Associate role is a key position in the London team and acts similar a VP post in many firms - you will be responsible for managing a team of interns and Analysts and work closely with an MD on deals and liaise directly with clients. Specifically, you will be responsible for:

Driving deal execution and the M&A process (supported by a team of Analysts and guided by senior leaders)
Leading on the creation and structuring of IMs and marketing materials
Building and evaluating financial models
Analysis of strategic drivers in key sectors
Leading client and investor communication – you will be the key point person on your projects
Involved in driving business development initiatives and the opportunity to lead on this where appropriate
Coaching and developing juniors

The selected individual will meet the following criteria:

Possess requisite level of M&A to operate confidently at the Assocate level
Strong preference for a fluent German speaker
Have clear indepth knowledge of valuation, accounting, financial reporting, financial instruments and general M&A concepts
Excellent grasp of complex financial modelling concepts, with a keen understanding of broader commercial issues
