My client is a top tier market infrastructure firm, who are commitment in delivering excellence across many of the market infrastructure functions such as Financial Exchanges, Market Data and Information Providers. They have deep knowledge and worldwide presence across financial markets whilst enabling businesses and economies around the world to fund innovation and manage risk.
They are looking for a Technology Risk Adviser who holds a CISA qualification certificate (Certified Information Systems Audit) and has strong written and verbal communications. Ideally the right candidate would currently be working or have worked in the financial services sector. They will also, from an infrastructure and application perspective will be responsible for the oversight of the operational technology risk. Further they will, oversee and challenge the management of operational risk ensuring technology core controls are properly designed and operate effectively and that key business initiatives or changes to systems are fully assessed and managed in line with policy
The essential experience and skills required:
- Ideal candidate will have a minimum of degree level qualification and relevant further professional qualification (e.g. CISA/CRISC)
- Ideal candidate will have worked in the financial services sector in a technology risk management role
- Experienced in managing risks in global financial services business
- Extensive knowledge and experience in operational risk management
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving capabilities
- Credibility, expertise, and gravitas to influence at senior management level
- Ability to maintain contacts and ability to influence and communicate at all levels, mindful of cultural sensitivities
- Communication style, which is well structured, persuasive, concise and based on facts
- Organised and methodical, can work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
