To support this we need an Investment Operations Manager.
Responsible for providing effective, efficient and scalable investment operations services to the UK’s insurance and investment businesses as well as other group companies and third party clients in respect to Assets Under Administration of c£35bn.
Overseeing Trade Order Matching and Settlements (TOMS), facilitating dealing in collectives, Discretionary Fund Management (DFM) Account Management and Custody / Cash Reconciliations for all invested assets including managing client monies in compliance with the FCA’s Client Asset Sourcebook (CASS).
What you’ll do
◾Lead, manage and develop the Investment Operations teams ensuring high quality, professional services are provided to all external and internal clients.
◾Lead the delivery of professional Investment Operations services in a controlled and timely manner and oversee services to agreed standards (SLAs).
◾Devise appropriate Operational performance indicators (KPI’s & KRI’s) and Balanced Scorecard data and use management information to drive improved performance.
◾Support effective risk management, creating a strong risk culture and operating in line with Canada Life’s risk strategy, preferences, policies and processes.
◾Responsible for delivering consistent high quality operational standards that meet client expectations and are in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
◾Support Investment Operational requirements of the UK’s Platform including Managing and supporting DFM’s and corporate actions, and ensuring ongoing compliance with Client Asset regulations.
◾Ensure external operational relationships are appropriately managed and maintained and build collaborative working relationships with other internal areas.
◾Provide technical expertise and oversee the management, training and development of teams.
◾Manage input into ICOFR, RCSA and policy attestation, processes and meet both internal and external audit requirements.
◾Ensure change is managed effectively in the area including strategic, regulatory and operational change through appropriate change control processes.
Who you are
◾CISI/CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent
◾Extensive Investment Administration and Accounting experience, knowledge of European securities, and regulations and practices.
◾Manage effectively a demanding operational area with multiple clients and stakeholders delivering accurate, high quality financial data and services.
◾Able to manage external business partnerships and maintain trusted internal customer relationships with agreed priorities and varied deliverables with valued European Clients.
◾Able to communicate complex issues to finance and non-finance staff ; and
◾Extensive experience in advising and directing appropriate resource to implement practical operational solutions.
