EmtechX is the media, publication, and events arm of Capital Group’s Emerging Technology (emtech) Group. Its purpose is to capture the contributions of the Emerging Technology team — our Open Innovation, Studio, and Lab practices — as well as broader the CG technology world and use them to stimulate the larger innovation agenda at Capital Group (CG).

We are searching for a Marketing Manager to work across multiple teams to define and execute our internally-focused brand, marketing, and content strategies in support of this agenda. The role will have the opportunity to synthesize emerging trends, understand new technologies and package emtech insights and recommendations to drive awareness and adoption at Capital Group.

Responsibilities:

Define Marketing Strategies & Platform Roadmaps (20%)

  • Define innovative marketing strategies to roll out content via multiple channels including (but not limited to) digital, print, audio video and live experiences to scale learnings and insights
  • Develop website and CMS strategy & roadmap that provides the greatest possible reach and impact
  • Develop internal marketing analytics to assess reach, impacts and next steps across channels

Drive Marketing Operations & Manage Content Pipeline (30%)

  • Create editorial calendar, prioritize and assign tasks
  • Manage editorial calendar to ensure on time delivery and publication via appropriate channels
  • Resolve and manage scheduling, delivery and publication conflicts

Contribute Content (30%)

  • Write original content on behalf of the team and set a gold standard for high quality, engaging and high impact materials by synthesizing emtech insights and learnings
  • Work with broader emtech to curate and co-create content
  • Find freelancers to ghost write

Work across Capital Group business units to drive tech awareness and applied learning programs (10%)

  • Develop targeted content plans to make CG business units more aware and proactive around relevant tech trends
  • Identify what’s valuable in terms of content and how to message by segments
  • Assist with evangelizing emtech offerings across the company
  • Assist in designing internal campaigns that promote the awareness of relevant technology trends and their impacts across CG

Assist with Events & Live Experiences (10%):

  • Contribute to design and execution of special events and innovation exercises, (including but not limited to expos, summits, sprint challenges, hackathons etc.) to inspire and promote tech savviness throughout the company
  • Assist with organizing demo-based briefings

Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, natural storyteller than can articulate business impacts of new technology
  • Background working with fintech, emerging technologies and/or early stage ventures or companies preferred
  • Content aware, analytically minded
  • Demonstrated networking skills, polished engagement style and an affinity to hustle to get things done
