    We are seeking a talented Supervisor of Facilities Operations to oversee all facets of facilities operations, maintenance of complex building equipment, and general office support service for multiple buildings.  

    What You Can Look Forward to
    • Supervise day-to-day responsibilities of Facilities team.
    • Effectively mentor and coach employees.

    • Direct his/her actions and the actions of others toward achieving goals that are critical to the success  of the department/organization.
    • Oversee the physical plant at multiple locations ensuring it is properly maintained and operating efficiently, this includes HVAC, Fire Life Safety System, Fire Suppression system, critical power systems, generator, UPS, ATS, lighting controls and general repairs.  Respond to emergency calls at any hour, in support of the building and BCP efforts. 
    • Develop and maintain facilities operation procedures, corporate policies and procedures, and BCP unit support.  Oversee vendor maintenance contracts, obtain various quotes for purchase/repairs in support of facilities and ensure compliance related activities. 
    • Assist with the development of the departmental disaster recovery plan including documentation, especially in the area of contamination, structural engineering, forensic investigations, physical recovery, and agency relations.
    • Assist with the review and approval of business unit expenses and budgetary efforts.
    • Support compliance with laws and regulations affecting health and safety; indoor air quality, energy conservation, hazardous materials management, staff exposure to materials, medical response training, and building evacuation procedures. 
    • Effectively train, motivate, supervise, and evaluate facilities staff.  Ensure facilities staff is performing with a high degree of efficiency and timeliness required to support functions.
    • Oversee space utilization, placement of furniture with company’s computer-added design software for tracking square footage and space allocations. 
    • Oversee the coordination of facilities support services requests to ensure efficiencies and timeless of response to meet and/or exceed department SLA standards.
    • Assist the Manager, Facilities Operations with capital improvements, and special projects. 
    • Responsible for reporting risks that are identified to the appropriate team and/or management. Additionally, responsible for managing, monitoring and reporting risks within the scope of your work area, to include, but not limited to Information Security risks.

    What Youll Need to Succeed
    • Bachelor’s degree from four year college in Business Management or related field; or a minimum of three to five years’ progressive experience managing a facilities program for multiple unit and location organization; or combination of education and experience. 
    • Facilities management experience.
    • Supervisory experience.
    • Thorough working knowledge of building equipment systems, including HVAC, facility operations, and employee/vendor support supervision, normally associated with three to five years’ experience and appropriate education.  Bachelor’s degree, certification, and/or advanced degree may substitute for years’ of experience.
    • Working knowledge of business and budgeting concepts.
    • Familiarity with ADA, OSHA/Hazardous Communications Standards, EPACT, IAQ, and Title 8 Industrial Relations of the California Code of Regulations preferred.
    • Certification by recognized Industry associations (e.g., International Facility Management Association’s CFM/FMP and/or Building Owners and Managers Association FMA) helpful.
    • Thorough working knowledge of building equipment systems, including HVAC, facility operations, and employee/vendor support supervision, normally associated with three to five years’ experience and appropriate education.  Bachelor’s degree, certification, and/or advanced degree may substitute for years’ of experience.
    • Working knowledge of business and budgeting concepts.
    • Familiarity with ADA, OSHA/Hazardous Communications Standards, EPACT, IAQ, and Title 8 Industrial Relations of the California Code of Regulations preferred.
