The Global Mobility and Services practice, a vertical within GIG, is based in Chicago. Through GIG, the Chicago office offers significant execution opportunities across a wide array of coverage verticals including Mobility (vehicles/suppliers/distributors), Business Services, Industrial Services, Knowledge Services, and Building Products. The Chicago office also offers execution opportunities to the full suite of banking products including all aspects of capital raising, both equity and debt, as well as M&A advisory services.
As an Investment Banking Summer Analyst you will gain exposure to the business, learn financial modeling and valuation techniques from dedicated and experienced professionals, and contribute to innovative, creative deals that are transforming today's corporate landscape. Summer Analyst Program
This 9-week program for rising college seniors provides dynamic exposure to business and the financial services industry. Whether you're working alongside a Full-Time Analyst or staffed as the only Analyst on a deal team, our summer program gives you the tools you'll need to jump start your career in finance and Investment Banking. Responsibilities may include analyzing companies using financial modeling and valuation techniques, examining the impact of a transaction on a client's capital structure and analyzing the consequences of a merger or acquisition.
You will be placed directly into an industry or product group. As a Summer Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work on deals in your group, gain hands-on experience and work on all aspects of advising and transacting business for our clients. You will participate in a formal review at the mid and end points of the summer, and Full-Time Analyst offers will be announced after the program to individuals identified as extraordinary performers. Training
The summer is structured to ensure a balance of work, training, networking, and mentorship. You will attend a week of training followed by group specific and on-the-job training to develop the skillset needed to succeed in the role. To ensure development, you will receive ongoing feedback and a formal end of summer review. In addition to receiving a mentor who will provide guidance and support throughout the summer, we offer a Senior Speaker Series for you to gain access to senior representatives across the division. Applicants to this Summer Analyst program should be between their junior and senior years at a four-year college or university (graduating in December 2021 or May/June 2022).
