The sales engineer will work hand in hand with the head of global sales for the firm and be responsible for providing support to secure and onboard new clients to utilize the platform, applications and services that the firm provide.

My client, one of the fastest growing financial technology firms in Chicago is seeking to hire a sales engineer join its Chicago based sales team. The sales engineer will work hand in hand with the head of global sales for the firm and be responsible for providing support to secure and onboard new clients to utilize the platform, applications and services that the firm provide.

What You Will Do

  • You will provide technical support to sales team to pitch and secure new clients for the firm.
  • Technical support will include answering technical questions about how the platform and application work, product demonstrations and ongoing consultation and onboarding support for new clients.

What You Will Need

  • No coding or programming experience is required for this role.
  • You will need a strong knowledge of how electronic trading works and strong knowledge of the options trading market including understanding of trading processes, exchanges, clearing and how technology plays its part.
  • Advanced written, verbal and presentation skills are an essential requirement for success in this role.
  • Ability to travel a couple of times a year to conferences and some travel to meet with clients across major financial hubs including New York, Boston, Chicago, San Francisco.
