PURPOSE:

Reporting to one of the 7IM Management Accountants, this role is to support the finance team with all financial administration, focusing primarily on the purchase and sale ledgers, processing invoices and payment runs and managing the credit cards booking process. The role will also include certain aspects of P&L reporting and will provide an excellent development opportunity for an enthusiastic, ambitious accountant looking to progress their career at an exciting, growing business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintaining the accounts payable, cash management and general ledger system for 4 entities, including preparation of payment runs
  • Processing invoices using Sun by matching invoices to Purchases Orders ensuring appropriate authorisation has been received
  • Liaising with suppliers and budget holders and resolving queries related to invoices and payments.
  • Processing staff expenses for payment and being a point of contact on all business expenses matters
  • Calculating external fund rebates and carry on analysis.
  • Assist with monthly and year end reconciliations as required
  • Process Month End Journal entries into the SUN financial system
  • Maintaining the sales ledger across 2 entities.
  • Other, as reasonably required by line manager and 7IM.

 


About The Candidate
SKILLS:

 

  • Attention to detail and accuracy of work.
  • Strong communication ability with internal and external parties.
  • Good time management and prioritisation.
  • Flexibility to perform different and varied tasks.
  • Ability to manage workload effectively and work on own initiative.

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Systems Literate (excel, word and outlook).
  • Experience SunSystems/ Q&A and Proactis expense module advantageous.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Studying towards AAT, ACCA or CIMA and/or have relevant experience.
  • Have at least a years experience in a similar Accounts/finance-based role.

OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION:

  • The role will comprise a mixture of regular tasks, ad hoc tasks and cover for other roles as the Finance department operates very much as a team.
  • Expected to subscribe to 7IM’s mission and tenets and Treating Customers Fairly initiatives.
