The position
We are actively seeking to hire a Human Resources Relationship Manager to join our team in Boston. This HR Relationship Manager (HRRM) will have broad HR responsibilities, providing HR generalist support to a number of functions within the firm.  Specific role responsibilities will be varied and flexible according to business needs but will include the areas outlined below.

The HRRM will partner with a challenging, intellectually stimulating and demanding business population. Relationship management skills, ability to influence, and understanding of the importance of delivery are critical. The HRRM will act as an HR advisor to managers on a wide variety of HR issues.  In addition, the HRRM will be involved on a wide variety of cross-functional HR issues, including, but not limited to manager coaching, employee relations, recruitment, compensation cycles, global mobility work and learning and development initiatives:  

In particular, the HR Relationship Manager will have the following responsibilities:

  • Develop relationships with senior leaders on key organizational issues including succession, organizational design and talent assessment.
  • Act as a coach to managers for employee relations issues, compensation decisions,  (during mid and year-end cycles), staffing and employee relations issues
  • Assess and define key business issues and themes and ensure appropriate HR solutions
  • Interview and develop offers, as needed, for senior and mid-level key positions, partnering with the Talent Acquisition Manager.
    • Partner with business units and the firms Talent Management team to develop learning and development solutions to meet business needs.
    • Contribute to the development of the firm's diversity initiatives
    • Oversee the on- boarding and assimilation of new hires
    • Act as a resource to employees for questions and concerns. 

Candidates should be an experienced HR Generalist.  Candidates should possess a demonstrated record of achievement, capacity for differentiated thinking, strong work ethic, teamwork, business judgment and the willingness to work with others.


Key qualifications for this role include:
  • 10 + years of HR experience
  • Business Acumen
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Experience with Staffing strategies
  • Solid project management skills - e.g., develop project plans, scope and ensure execution and delivery
  • Excellent verbal and written communications including presentation and facilitation skills
  • Effective coaching and negotiating skills
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible, self-directed, and think out of the box is essential
  • A university degree is required
