 HMEA’s Autism Advantage @ Work is a program designed to help highly skilled people with Autism to overcome some of the barriers to obtaining competitive positions. One of our employment partners, DELL is looking for Neurodiverse applicants with experience in the technology field to participate in the DELL Enterprise Technology Training Initiative scheduled for April 2020. DELL is committed to changing the way people think about Autism in the work place and believes that it benefits their company to hire individuals that will foster a Neurodiverse workplace. HMEA and DELL recognize that people with autism have diverse career paths and experiences.

Participants may have experience in ANY of the following areas:
• Experience with technology
• Using data analytical methods
• Use of mathematics to solve complex problems
• Use of programming languages
• Web Development
• Software Development/Testing
• Hardware Design/Testing
• Familiarity with machine learning techniques and algorithms

For individuals selected to participate in the two-week program, it will be an opportunity to:
• Build social and communication skills
• Learn how to highlight their tech- focused skills in the application process
• Develop and refine a resume and personal brand
• Learn skills to improve workplace performance
• Present their skills directly to DELL/EMC hiring managers
• Experience the culture of a cutting-edge global company

All cohort participants will receive a Certificate of Completion, and can add this experience to their resumes.
