Job Summary

Barings Human Resources department is seeking an experienced Talent Management professional to help drive our firms mission by collaborating with leadership and employees across the business globally. The Talent Management Director is responsible for the transformation and execution of talent and performance management practices. This position offers the opportunity to be both strategic and hands on in the development of programs that support our global population. The ideal candidate is a strong, consultative leader with significant expertise in broad Human Resources.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide professional expertise and support in the design, development and implementation of the talent review process that is required to achieve business goals and results in the creation of an internal bench of top talent.
• Create, initiate and maintain effective programs for workforce retention, promotion and succession planning.
• Develop and implement frameworks that drive organizational design standards, change management best practices, and culture or engagement efforts.
• Design and lead enterprise performance management practices to include standards of performance and performance evaluation instruments.
• Collect, analyze and maintain data gathered to inform targeted global leadership development programs.
• Train and coach managers, supervisors and others involved in employee development efforts.
• Proven record illustrating the successful completion of a full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate).
• Thorough understanding of adult learning theory, learning technologies, instructional design methodologies and evaluation of learning solutions.
• Develop an evaluation strategy supported by applicable metrics to continuously review and refine talent development practices.
• Work closely with HR Business Partners and COE teams to design programs that support a diverse and inclusive organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of HR experience including both talent management and performance management with a strong emphasis on designing, learning, and implementing employee development programs.
• Experience designing, developing and executing firm-wide talent management programs that cover performance management, talent development, coaching, succession planning, data analytics and relationship management.
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of leadership and management theories, development strategies, competency models and content with linkage to talent management strategies
• Strong relationship skills and the ability to collaborate in a global, cross-functional environment
• Ability to analyze processes, enact change, think tactically and strategically to achieve business goals
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal; must be a clear, concise, and persuasive communicator
• Bachelors degree required. Advanced degree preferred.
