Support the project team in the development and implementation of innovative strategic communications and outreach programs and initiatives designed to proactively engage program members, government partners, and stakeholders. Implement a program level strategic communications plan. Help determine challenges, opportunities, and needs within the client's environment and help manage expectations of communications products. Create, design, and write publication materials, employee communications, newsletters, and informational materials for internal or external audiences. Provide guidance for copy, design, and development of graphics for brochures, briefs, social media and other communications products. Research new content to develop for communication products. Confer with project leadership team regarding complex subjects to maintain coherence of communications products. Draft content for publication on client site and liaises across varying Task Order organizations and work activities to ensure accuracy of communications products, communication plans and content.
-3+ years of experience in the strategic communication field, including change management, content development, Web strategy, and implementation planning
-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
-Experience with SharePoint
-Experience with Poppulo or a third-party message distribution system
-Ability to gather information and synthesize into client ready deliverables
-Ability to assist with the development of new communication methods to reach target audiences
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-BA or BS degree in Journalism, Communications, Business Communications, Public Affairs, Marketing, or Political Science
-Experience with writing and editing material in a journalistic style
-Experience with multimedia and graphic design layouts related to strategic communication products
-Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (CC) and video production software
-Experience with top executives and senior leaders to translate ideas and concepts into professional communication products, including talking points, PowerPoint presentations, articles, e-mails to staff, and other communication products, as directed.
-Ability to balance competing priorities and manage several time-sensitive projects at once in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
