Goldman Sachs is seeking a Capacity Manager / Technical Business Analyst with excellent analytical, communication and co-ordination skills to support the vendor & capacity management function of the Global Data Center Team The role requires a professional who has the drive to work with various teams on creating a strong vendor management program and provide capacity management oversight across the global estate. In this role, the individual will assist with the life cycle of vendors including onboarding, day to day activities and maintaining measures of success. This person will also be responsible for the analysis and reporting of global capacity across all facilities. You will need to understand interdependencies between various systems and provide analysis where efficiencies or enhancements could be added working in conjunction with automation teams. As a member of the team you will be responsible for:
• Capacity & Power Management across the data center portfolio
• Delivering detailed business and technology impact analysis
• Contributing to complex projects from inception to implementation
• Contributing to analysis for strategic data center projects
• Building long term, productive relationships, and engage effectively with all key internal clients and partners
• Drive consensus amongst sometimes competing requirements of clients
• Work with internal stakeholders on forecasts and capacity planning
• Design, develop and transform operational processes
• Develop data visualization and dashboards of capacity information globally
• Manage a portfolio of vendors and ensure we are compliant with all vendor management activities

• Work with Engineering Stakeholders to understand capacity demands and provide analysis and reporting on impacts to the data centers globally.
• Partner with operations team to determine SLA's and reporting on installations and decommissions across the environment
• In conjunction with the development team put in place methods for monitoring resource capacity for space and power
• Create a dashboard of metrics of capacity activities
• Contributes to reports on performance against targets contained in SLA's
• Assist with PDLC and assess new technology slated for installation in the data center and provide analytics of its impact to the environment.
• Assesses new hardware and software products for use by Capacity Management that might improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the process
• Manage our global portfolio of vendors thru their entire lifecycle
• Work with our risk and vendor management partners on ensuring all vendor activities are completed and all risks are mitigated
• Map out our system dependencies and analysis more efficient

• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Project management skills
• Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines
• Willingness to take initiative and work independently

Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent or higher)
• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions
• Demonstrate skills in creating business and technical documentation
• Experience with data analytic tools such as Elasticsearch, Kibana, Tableau
• Background in mechanical / electrical/ data center environments (preferred but not required)
• Programming skills (preferred but not required)
