Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Duties: Vice President with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Jersey City, NJ. Lead a team through the full software development lifecycle starting from understanding the concepts and requirements to development, testing, rollout and support. Understand and enhance existing complex software systems. Collaborate with Product Controllers on business application enhancements to improve user workflow. Analyze user needs and business requirements to determine feasibility of the design within time and cost constraints. Confer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others to design the system and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces. Contribute to the strategic and technical vision in developing scalable low maintenance technology infrastructure for proprietary profit and loss (P&L) and balance sheet accounting functions. Code, test and troubleshoot programs utilizing the appropriate hardware, database, and programming technology. Analyze performance of programs and take necessary actions such as enhancing the code, retiring unused code, introducing parallelism where ever necessary to improve performance, or correcting deficiencies based on consultation with users and approval of supervisor. Provide technical and career guidance to junior developers and work in tandem with them.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field. Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a related role. Prior work experience must include five (5) years of experience with: Application development in Java, SQL, Ksh, Angular and JMS; Utilizing relational database technologies such as Sybase; Implementation, deployment and testing in a Unix or Linux environment, such as Solaris, Sun OS or Redhat; and Testing frameworks, including JUnit and Fitnesse. Prior work experience must include three (3) years of experience with: Designing solutions to financial profit and loss (P&L) problems using Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD); Working and coordinating projects with cross regional teams; and Utilizing object and relational persistence and query service such as Hibernate.
