Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Duties: Vice President with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Jersey City, NJ. Design, develop, test and support software/systems/infrastructure used to support the global Risk and Control function of the firm. Engage in the full development lifecycle of projects that develop testable software to allow for iterative releases. Interact with the firm's Compliance officers to gather requirements, understand business functions and translate to technical specifications to produce reusable software applications. Lead design reviews and assume accountability for several project components, including developing project plans. Build systems that are scalable and configurable to solve requirements across a wide variety of business use cases without the need to redevelop similar solutions for each problem. Evaluate and understand new firm platform solutions and gauge feasibility of implementation for Compliance solutions. Provide informal supervision and technical guidance to junior team members and analysts. Must be willing to work with proprietary technologies. No knowledge of proprietary technologies is required pre-hire.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a related role. Must have five (5) years of experience with: Object-Oriented, Functional and procedural programming languages including Python, Java and Scala; interfacing with Compliance officers or business users to translate business requirements to technical specifications; development methodologies for front and back end, using Java, Javascript, Angular, Python, SQL, NoSQL, and ETL technologies and dependency injection framework including Spring; developing configurable applications in backend and frontend applications; working concurrently on multiple software development projects; legacy and current technologies including Java 6 or older, Tomcat, STRUTS, Ant and Maven Builds Tools; and working and collaborating across a global, or geographically-dispersed, development team and communicating effectively across time zones. Must have one year of experience with Workflow and ElasticSearch.
