Wealth Management Chief Data Office (CDO) – Client & Account Business Analyst

Overview
A critical priority for Asset and Wealth Management (AWM) is to ensure that high-quality data is available to run our business and meet our clients' needs. The AWM Chief Data Office (CDO) was established to define AWM's data strategy and support for the core data used across AWM and needed to run our business.

The Project Manager (PM) /Business Analysis (BA) will be part of Party and Account (P&A) Data Domain that focuses on establishing a data strategy for P&A data as well as driving related programs.
The projects will include: 1) Data quality issues resolution; 2) New request / Demand; 3) Develop adoption plan for golden source of P&A data across WM businesses; and 4) Reengineering platform functionalities and operational processes. The PM/BA will collaborate with other project/program managers, business and data analysts, business SMEs, and technology teams to drive projects, ensuring clear priorities and completion of tasks, mitigating risks and overall leading the project to deliver on business benefits.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Partner with AWM Ops Onboarding, Data Management, Client Service and Business Management to complete comprehensive business analysis and assess requirements documentation for new request and/or Data Quality issues Identifies user requirements by researching and analyzing user needs, preferences and objectives
  • Liaise with Technology to ensure the functional design and build requirements meet with submitted business requirements
  • Partner with Information Architects to develop Conceptual and Logical Data model
  • Analyze current product data sources and processes to determine gaps and points for standardization across existing operations teams
  • Drive adoption of golden source product data via the target state distribution framework (EDPI), and implement data quality standards and processes with data content owners
  • Own specific DQ issues as E2E Lead driving remediation from beginning to end, identifying and managing key stakeholders (SMEs, Technology, BCO) to ensure a comprehensive and robust solution
  • Build knowledge of data lifecycle activities (e.g. data definitions, data lineage, data quality) and understand how data is used within business processes and its impact on desired business process outcomes
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a major financial services organization, with data project management experience e.g. business analysis and Data/system migration projects
  • Understanding of the financial services industry and businesses (e.g., investment banking or asset management, operations, trading, and technology functions)
  • Proven ability to translate requirements into data modelling, adhering to firm-wide architectural standards, such as logical to physical data modelling
  • Experience in creating process & data flows and business requirement documentation
  • Background in data management practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and data quality framework
  • Strong interpersonal leadership, partnership and influencing skills - ability to interact with colleagues at all levels in a peer-like manner and achieve goals without direct control over resources.
  • Excellent analytical and logical thinking to understand and analyze complex business processes, identifying risks and defining solutions
  • Strong ability to work in uncertain operational environment, while staying organized and driving initiatives forward
  • Ability to work both independently, as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Advanced skills with the core MS Office suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), standard PM tools (e.g. MS Project) and process-mapping tools (e.g. MS Visio, etc.)

Desired Skills:
  • Strong visualization skills with the ability to clearly communicate, in writing and orally
  • Deep knowledge of data domains Including Party & Account data needed by a Financial organization
  • Ability to be proactive, independent and to multitask
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to quickly define and deconstruct problems leveraging strong analytical and end-to-end problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills; Able to present information in differing degrees of detail and form depending on audience; Experienced in creating presentations for senior management
  • Ability to multitask and strong time management skills
  • Asset and Wealth Management experience preferred
