Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. seeks an Associate in New York, New York

Provide Quality Assurance (QA) services for software developed for e-Trading, Pricing, Risk, and STP activities. Strengthen QA coverage for the algo-trading platform. Work closely with development teams and key stakeholders in the technology organization to ensure that product deliverables meet quality standards and business needs. Define and execute test strategies in the algo-trading space. Be involved in regulatory projects, working across Silos and boundaries in order to assist the Firm in complying with new and existing regulations. Participate in end-to-end testing to ensure correct integration of products. Coordinate where and when it is required in projects where multiple teams are involved or as part of the "virtual team". Provide assistance to the Automation team to assist in understanding business scenarios. Review automated scripts. Optimize test packs so they can be used efficiently for each test run.

Requirements :

Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (any), Computer Science, or related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years of experience as an Engineer, Test Analyst, Project Manager, or related occupation. Requires five (5) years of experience with: quality assurance experience in the financial services industry; trade lifecycle, trade economics, and trade events; identifying, developing, and maintaining test cases required for applications under testing; troubleshooting issues and determining next steps once necessary incident details have been collected; databases; writing SQL queries involving joins on multiple tables and complex condition statements; IT collaboration and tracking tools including Jira and ALM; formalizing tests to pass to the automation team for further implementation and review of automated scripts to assess the coverage provided. Requires two (2) years of experience with: Unix to assist in troubleshooting and testing activities; and searching for exceptions, errors, and other patterns.
