RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, NY. Developer in Global Investment Research (GIR) technology, responsible for developing and maintaining Research Content Management Systems. Analyze, enhance, and maintaining a complex Content Management System, while being responsible for hosting all research and relevant Investment Research content for clients of the Firm. Analyze, enhance, and maintain modern full-stack applications built, using web (AngularJS, React) and JAVA (1.7+) technologies, leveraging relational databases (Sybase and SQL) and unstructured data in Lucene. Lead small teams through all the stages of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including providing work estimates and raising critical project issues, such as technical and project risks. Formulate design and implementation requirements in the system following coding best practices and utilizing Object-Oriented programming and design patterns concepts. Engage in test-driven development, using Junit, Cucumber and Selenium. Build and release management, using Gradle scripts. Conduct manual and automated deployment and testing of production environments. Provide second-line support of the system, including engaging with business users and communicating technical concepts clearly and concisely to non-technical users of the system. Perform technical recruiting, training and mentoring of interns and new Analysts on the GIR Technology team. Work on a global software development team and communicate status/design effectively across multiple regions. Partner with functional business leads to understand requirements and communicate technical concepts.

Job Requirements: Master's or Bachelor's degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Three (3) years of experience with a Master's degree or five (5) years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in the job offered or a related position. Must have three (3) years of experience with a Master's degree or five (5) years of experience with a Bachelor's degree with: Java 1.7 or higher including multi-threading, JDBC, Reflections, Generics and Collections Framework; Web development, using at least 2 of the following: AngularJS, ReactJS and JQuery; Working across the entire SDLC lifecycle of product development, including requirements gathering; functional and technical design; development; user acceptance testing; release procedures; and production support; Test Driven Development, with experience in test frameworks including Junit or Jasmine; Workflow-based applications such as JBPM applications; Relational databases, including Sybase or DB2; Working in a Linux environment and shell scripting; Utilizing Agile software development principles as part of a development team; and Combining Ext JS front end and Java back-end technologies.
