RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in New York, NY. Gather requirements, analyze, and design various components of next-generation, high through-put derivative trade processing and regulatory reporting functions that can process tens of millions of transactions per day. Liaise with Operations, Compliance, and Legal teams and external regulators in supporting regulatory and internal audit inquiries and on new regulatory requirements. Work with Operations, Compliance, Legal and Technology teams in assessing regulatory requirements from major global regulators (e.g. CFTC, ESMA , MIFID, HKMA), and translate them to meaningful software implementations for a variety of complex Over-The Counter (OTC) derivative instruments. Design and develop data models for complex OTC derivatives to distribute the data required for regulatory reporting, pricing and valuation, client reporting and confirmation, and clearing and settlements. Develop large scale multi-threaded applications and processes in Java, Scala, C++ and the Firm's proprietary programming language. Manage and analyze information using Relational Databases Management Systems (RDBMS), such as Sybase, DB2, or Oracle, and Non SQL-Databases such as Mongo DB. Work with a variety of Data Warehousing technologies to persist and distribute large volumes of data for Online Analytical Processing/Reporting, audits, and regulatory inquiries. Develop, test, deploy and provide production support for regulatory functions within the Firm's proprietary trade entry and risk system, using Python, JSI, Java, and the Firm's proprietary programming language. Monitor regulatory reporting services and trade processing systems for alerts, business exceptions emails, and user requests, and address user requests and remediate issues. Design and develop user interfaces for supporting exception resolution and reporting functions with React, HTML, Bootstrap and other Web technologies. Work across the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including coordinating the user acceptance testing strategy, release planning and execution for different release cycles. Guide and mentor two (2) Analysts on a project-basis.
Job Requirements: Master's or Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field. Three (3) years of experience with a Master's degree or five (5) years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in the job offered or a related role. Prior experience must include three (3) years of experience with a Master's degree or five (5) years of experience with a Bachelor's degree with building multi-threaded/multi-process service-oriented Java enterprise applications within a Unix environment. Prior experience must include three (3) years of experience with: Working in a cloud/parallel computing environment; Leveraging data structures and algorithms for online transaction processing; Performing database tuning on data-intensive applications; and Software development using messaging technologies, such as Apache Kafka, Tibco EMS, Rest, Windows MQ or similar Data analysis, modelling and querying using SQL and Big Data warehouse technologies such as HDFS-Hadoop, Sybase IQ, Spark, or Scala. Prior experience must include two (2) years of experience with: Designing and developing data and object models for large scale financial applications; Agile/Scrum methodology and test-driven development; and Developing web-based UI interfaces with HTML, React/Redux, JQuery and Rest, and business process workflow tools such as Signavio. Prior experience must include one (1) year of experience with: Working with No SQL databases, such as Mongo DB; Gathering OTC derivatives regulatory requirements, including CFTC, ESMA, MiFID, HKMA, and FINRA, working with users, Legal, and Compliance and translating requirements to tangible developer tasks; and Communicating requirements, technical design, implementation, and testing plans to stakeholders.
