Job Description:

BlackRock is recruiting for an Associate Business Manager role in our Human Resources team. This role supports our COO/Business Management team and will partner with professionals across all HR functions as well as other BlackRock corporate functions, in a fast paced and dynamic work environment. The role will support the governance and oversight in managing the HR function.

Responsibilities:

  • Business management of the HR function:
    • Support execution and orchestration of senior level HR meetings and HR town halls
    • Support the maintenance of HR objectives with HR leadership team for quarterly operating plans
    • Manage requests for headcount and space management
    • Monitor completion of mandatory trainings and ensure HR employees are operating according to specified processes and protocols
    • Manage and design cross functional HR dashboards and status reports

  • Manage and drive HR operational initiatives and projects
    • Support HR functional alignment - aide alignment around collective accountabilities and agendas e.g. tracking of key projects & priorities
    • Improve internal HR communications and information flow
    • Provide HR administrative support, including effective management of budget, operating costs, headcount and space
    • Manage cross functional ad-hoc HR projects
    • Respond to regional and global corporate requests

  • Maintain system and regulatory controls (under supervision of COO)
    • Validate permission access lists
    • Oversee HR shared folders and files - protect sensitive information
    • Remediate risk management items
    • Support ownership of Business Continuity Management

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in HR or another business / corporate operations team
  • BA/BS Degree
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Microsoft Office (essential)
  • Broad knowledge of HR concepts, processes and their interdependencies
  • Project, stakeholder and change management experience
