CLO Structuring & Origination
Duties: Build and strengthen issuer-client and investor-client relationships throughout the Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO) transaction and deal execution process. Assist issuer clients in navigating the CLO deal execution process. Advise clients on CLO structural options, investor stipulations, transaction status, and rating agency feedback/comments. Review and negotiate transaction operative documents and disclosure documents. Negotiate CLO engagement letters, as well as transaction terms and conditions, with rating agencies and CLO investors. Create CLO capital structures based upon portfolio metrics, covenants, rating agency criteria, and targeted specific terms particular to each issuer and transaction. Perform quantitative analysis and modeling of CLO transactions. Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, or related field of study plus four (4) years of experience in the job offered or four (4) years of experience as Financial Analyst, CLO Structuring Associate/Analyst, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires four (4) years of experience with the following skills: buy-side Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO) structuring and investments; rating criteria and methodologies for the three main CLO rating agencies (Moody's, S&P, and Fitch); explaining CLO concepts to issuer-clients and following financial transaction/deal execution timelines; MS Excel and MS Powerpoint; editing Visual Basic macros in MS Excel; Moody's CDOEdge; S&P Cashflow Model and S&P CDO Evaluator; and Intex DealMaker.
