Investment Banking Vice President
Citigroup Global Markets Inc. seeks an Investment Banking Vice President for its New York, New York location.
Duties: Provide financial advice on various corporate finance topics directly to clients by presenting at client meetings and calls. Keep abreast of developments in the energy sector to assess potential impact to client businesses. Operate as the Financial Strategy and Solution Group energy sector touchpoint for Citi's BCMA internal product partners. Use knowledge gained from sector research and from conversations with clients and internal product partners to drive new sector research/content. Advise clients on the optimal strategy to execute potential transactions (M&A, debt capital markets, leveraged finance, equity capital markets) in terms of the client's credit ratings. Keep up-to-date on rating agency research and methodology, and liaise with rating agency analyst to understand their current thinking and coordinate client interactions. Direct analysts and associates in performing analysis and preparing presentations, ensuring it adequately answers the client asks. Develop analyst and associates by providing them with necessary analytical and sectoral training.
Requirements: Requires a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance or closely related field and four (4) years of experience in Investment Banking or a closely related position. Four years of work experience must include: Developing credit rating analytics; Performing Statistical analysis on big data, including Mean Variance Portfolio Optimization, Monte Carlo Simulation, and Regression Analysis; Financial Modelling and corporate finance models including cost of capital, valuation, Monte-Carlo simulations, portfolio optimization, risk management; Analyzing companies in the entire energy sector value chain (upstream, midstream, downstream, oil-field services and integrated); Capital markets products including M&A advisory, debt capital markets, leveraged finance and equity capital markets; Financial data and analytics platforms: Factset, S&P Capital IQ, Moody's FM, Bloomberg; Option pricing; and Utilizing Stata, R, VBA, MS Excel. 25% domestic and international travel required.
