About the Team and Role
Candidate will take a senior role in the Application Engineering and Integration Services team. This team acts as both owner and partner in the application onboarding, certification, publication and maintenance processes for internal and vendor developed applications. This team maintains the software catalog, application publication and certification process for all desktop applications across 35000 Morgan Stanley Wealth Management consumers. As a senior member of the team, the candidate will perform the role of operational supervisor, client support liaison, and technology security officer to drive innovation and continuous improvement across all of our service offerings.

Some challenges the candidate will tackle
· Perform application design, integration, and implementation
· Re-engineer the current application onboarding and certification process
· Improve application end of life, version upgrade and license management plan
· Utilize security minded approach for software implementations and upgrades
· Strengthen relationships and empower partners by driving the development self-help knowledge for on time delivery of applications
· Evaluate and integrate various firm issued catalog services to revamp the available Software Catalog
· Proactively monitor and analyze logs and metrics around utilization and capacity
· Participate as a stake holder on the Software Review Team to represent and drive Wealth

Qualifications:

Required Skills:
· Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field of study and 5 years of experience in similar position
· Possess strong troubleshooting skills with ability to pick up and resolve issues with little application knowledge
· Extensive experience with MS Office and working with large excel sheets (macros, v-lookups, pivots, dashboarding, etc)
· Extensive knowledge of Windows 7 and Windows 10 Operating Systems along with Microsoft based applications and technologies
· Ability to create, modify and publish technical documentation
· Experience managing solutions or systems in a mid-to-large scale enterprise environment
· Experience supporting distributed applications on Windows servers
· Ability to run a meeting, manage a project, communicate effectively
· Ability to give presentations, provide end-user training sessions
Preferred Skills:
· PowerShell, VBScript, and SQL scripting knowledge
· Understanding of systems monitoring practices on Windows (querying Windows Registry, WMI, Perfmon)
· Ability to write Splunk searches and build Splunk dashboards (Splunk Search language)
